Anna was born into an Italian family, originating from Puglia, a stunning region in the south of Italy. In 1955 her mother and father made a new home in Scotland. Anna proudly tells of how she has bridal and dress making in her blood. Her mother was a beautiful dressmaker and growing up, her family home was full of the most stunning fabrics. You could often hear the sweet sound of sewing machines whirring as it turned meters of fabric into the most amazing garments.

HOW it all started...

One year while on holiday in Italy the weather was terrible, it rained for about 4 weeks and at that time, no sunbathing could be had, So we looked for other ways to pass the time. A friend took me to visit two bridal Ateliers and I just fell in love with wedding gowns.

When I came back to Scotland, I kept thinking about these gowns and I persuaded my mum to let me transform a bedroom within the Bothwell Bridge Hotel (room 2). I created my own little boutique with just a handful of gowns.
