Once you have found and ordered the perfect dress, you will be invited to attend your first fitting. These appointments usually last 45 minutes and give Eleganza brides the opportunity to work with our seamstresses to ensure that their dress fits exactly as desired. It is advisable to schedule these appointments as far in advance as possible to secure fittings at a time that can accommodate your lifestyle.
Fittings at Eleganza take place every Wednesday, this allows our stylists and seamstresses to focus solely on tailoring dresses to each of our brides. With a variety of refreshments and Connock London lotions to sample, we want our brides to feel relaxed and enjoy the experience.
In preparation of your first fitting it is imperative to consider the style of shoes you plan to wear on your wedding day. The shoes that you choose, particularly if they have a heel, can impact the hemline of your dress. Therefore, wearing appropriate shoes at your fitting ensures that this is considered when altering your dress.
We also recommend our brides wear underwear which will be suitable with their gown. Again, this is a great opportunity to make sure you are happy and gives you one less thing to worry about on your wedding day!
Our fittings run on consecutive Wednesdays so you will be asked to return one week later after the appropriate alterations have been made for your final fitting.
Occasionally, a dress will fit perfectly and you will be able to take your dress away after your initial fitting and final payment.
