Eleganza Real Bride Emma wearing Riki Dalal

Eleganza Real Bride Emma's bridal journey began in St Andrew's when her partner proposed! Paul proposed to me in July 2016 at the Fairmont hotel in St Andrews for my birthday. It was a total surprise, I had no idea! What was your favourite thing about planning your wedding? My favourite planning moment was definitely finding my dress! Fitting appointments and getting my dress home were hands down my favourite part of planning and most exciting! How would you describe your first appointment? I loved my first appointment. Eleganza was the first shop I went to try on dresses and it was by far the best shop I went to. I went to a lot then couldn't wait to go back to Eleganza. The girls made me feel very special at all of my appointments Did having a personal stylist change your experience? I had only great experiences in Eleganza. The style I was trying on my first appointment to the appointment where I found my dream dress was completely different. Jenna helped me realise that and only pulled dresses in the style I actually wanted. I found when trying on so many dresses in other shops it's so easy to get confused and forget what you actually want in your wedding dress. I found my dress but it was missing my dream of a long train...the girls quickly and with no hassle had my extra train added to my dress to ensure it was extremely long exactly what I always wanted. Tell us more about your overall experience with Eleganza Sposa Amazing. The girls are all great at their job and nothing is a hassle for them. They are all so friendly and always have suggestions to help you get exactly what you want in your dress. I need to mention the seamstresses - they were phenomenal! They made my dress fit me like it did and added all my extras like train and belt they all were great! The girls made me feel like I was the only bride to try on dresses (which I know is not the case as it's a busy popular shop).  They always asked about my wedding how my planning was going and even my groom - who normally gets forgotten about let's be honest haha! Tell us about your Riki Dalal dress! As soon as I put it on, I knew straight away even though it was a few sizes too big. I loved how it was a fitting dress but also went all out at the bottom. The back detail was important for me too as I liked the idea of having a nice back detail when having my back to my guests when getting married and my dress also ticked that box for me. I felt like a princess in my dress. I just loved it. Did you have a specific them or colour palette at your wedding? We had our colour as navy. The boys wore kilts to fit with the theme of the castle. Tell us more about your big day We had a big wedding with over 200 guests by night time. The weather was just amazing the sun was shining with a little breeze now and again so wasn't too hot but we got a lot of photos outside which was great and meant me and my groom could watch everyone mingling while getting our photos done. We got married the same day as the royals meaning the Sunday post wrote a story on us and heart radio popped in on our wedding so it was like being a celebrity for the day! Everything went to time on the day. It went perfect every single part!   What was the most memorable moment? Seeing my husband for the first time on the day How was your Honeymoon? We absolutely loved our honeymoon! We started off in Miami then went on a cruise round the Bahamas for a few days. To finish it off we spent a week in Orlando Florida! All the while enjoying being in our wedding bubble.   Photographer: Julie Lamont Florist: Posies and pots Venue 1: St Margaret's chapel Airdrie Venue 2: Crossbasket Castle Makeup: Rachael Hunter (Onyx) Shoes: Jimmy Choo Cake: Jappa Cakes Caterer: Crossbasket Castle Music: Circus (my brother's wedding band) Others: Littlebox Wedding Films and Big Letter Events

Eleganza Real Bride Rebecca Wearing Essense of Australia

Eleganza Real Bride Rebecca incorporated the colours from her husband's tartan kilt into the design of her wedding. She tells us more about her Eleganza Experience below! How would you describe your Eleganza Experience? From the moment I walked into Eleganza Sposa, I felt like I'd walked into a movie. Everything was white and there was just an air of luxury. This feeling of luxury continued throughout both of my appointments at the store, where Amanda helped me pick out my dream dress. The bubbly was a really nice touch, that you don't get in many bridal shops anymore. I loved the entire experience! What was your favourite thing about the Eleganza Sposa Boutique? My favourite thing was the interior design, and the big flower arch! How was your experience with your stylist? My experience was brilliant from start to finish. Amanda helped me consider designs I wouldn't have immediately chosen for myself. She was friendly, and put me at ease while trying on the dresses. She let me take as long as I needed to make sure I had found 'the one'! Tell us all about your Essense of Australia dress! I saw the dress on the Eleganza website first and immediately added it to my 'Love List'. The dress incorporated lots of features that I liked: strapless, A-line, a bit of lace, a bit of sparkle and a beautiful train! As soon as I tried it on, I felt totally amazing and couldn't get the smile off my face. At the time I said "there's nothing I don't like about it". My sister's reaction when I showed her it (on FaceTime) before I 'said yes' was "it's perfect, it's got everything that you want". That's when I knew it was the one! Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette for your wedding? Our colour palette was dark green and cream, with a wooden/rustic feel. The colour choice was to match my husband's tartan. Tell us more about your Big Day! We had amazing weather, which meant we could have our ceremony outside overlooking the loch, which was our dream! Unfortunately this also led to a wasp getting stuck in the two tiers between my veil during the ceremony and my dad having to remove it while not scaring me! Apart from that everything went smoothly and it was wonderful seeing all of the people I care about in one place to celebrate our marriage! What was the most memorable moment? Our first dance, which was recorded by my cousin so made even more personal and special for us. Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you? My favourite picture is of my husband and I standing on the Cruin's jetty. Our photographer got into the loch to take the photo, which was very dedicated and meant we got a very different angle from most people! Did you honeymoon following your wedding? Our honeymoon was in Malaysian Borneo, where we took a three day river trip and spotted lots of monkeys, an orangutan and some pygmy elephants! We then went on to a hotel just off the coast of Borneo to totally relax, go snorkelling and eat amazing food! We even had a private BBQ on the beach, which was a memory we will treasure forever! Please, tell us more about your overall experience at Eleganza Sposa I was made to feel like a princess. I honestly couldn't fault the experience. When I had decided on my dress, other Eleganza staff were walking past and telling me how amazing I looked. I was made to feel so special! Eleganza Real Bride Kirstyn Wearing Suzanne Neville

Eleganza Real Bride Kirstyn was surprised to find that her dream dress was a completely different style than she had initially imagined! How would you describe your Eleganza Experience? My Eleganza Experience was totally not what I expected! I tried on all of the dresses on my love list but didn't feel like I had found the one! I was about to leave the shop to go to another appointment when Laura talked me into trying on a style I initially said I really didn’t want - and that is the dress I bought. We added a belt to it and I think that made the dress. She then chose my veil for me and I was sold. It was just stunning and  felt so special. I can’t thank Laura enough for making me feel so relaxed and encouraging me to venture out with my comfort zone. It most definitely paid off! Oh and the glass of prosecco on arrival was a very nice touch. It most definitely calmed the nerves! What was your favourite thing about the Eleganza Sposa boutique? The shop is beautiful in general! The interior, the scent, the atmosphere! The girls are all lovely and the selection of dresses is very unique.  Tell us all about your Suzanne Neville gown! I loved everything about my dress. The delicate material and the way it moved (especially because my wedding day was windy!) and the fact we made it unique by adding a belt to it during the alterations. I felt stunning in it, so elegant and beautiful. I’ve never worn a dress like it and that was a big thing for me. My guests were all saying it had the “wow factor” and they expected me in something fitted, so it was nice to hear that they were surprised. My dad also loved it. I managed to keep it hidden until the big day! What was your inspiration for your wedding? I wanted my wedding day to be classy but relaxed and that’s exactly what it was. I stuck to neutral colours and I had a harpist playing during my ceremony and the meal. It was beautiful. Tell us more about your big day! Our guests told us the atmosphere on the day was great. We had a dry, sunny day at the end of July so our drinks reception could be outside on the patio while we had our photos taken. The Parsonage have beautiful outdoor furniture there. This was a big thing for me. It was so relaxed and comfortable! The day flowed so well. There was no waiting around as each part of the day was set in a different area of the venue. This was also a big thing for me & my husband & we have the staff at The Parsonage to thank for that. What was the most memorable moment? There are lots. I would say the car journey from my mum and dad’s house to the venue was lovely. We were so excited. Our first dance was special. Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? I have lots already! Our photographer is amazing! And our guests took some great photos too! We’re waiting for our final viewing with our photographer and we are so excited to see the rest. Please, tell us more about your overall experience at Eleganza Sposa 10/10 in comparison to other shops I visited. I was made to feel so relaxed at every appointment and it was so personal. Do you have any advice for future brides visiting Eleganza Sposa? Trust your stylist! They’ll know what suits your shape better than you probably do! Eleganza Real Bride Elizabeth Wearing Jesus Peiro

Eleganza Real Bride Elizabeth tells us about her Eleganza Experience as well as her 'secret garden' themed Scottish wedding!   How would you describe your Eleganza Experience? Amazing throughout! What was your favourite thing about the Eleganza Sposa Boutique? Lisa - my stylist. My experience with her was fabulous! Tell us all about your Jesus Peiro dress! Lisa picked it out - it wasn’t online in time for me to do my 'Love List' but it was perfect. I screamed when I saw the back of it, "Turn it round! Turn it round!" It was timeless elegance and everyone said how I “knocked it out the park!” Did you follow a specific theme for your wedding? For our wedding we decided on a rustic, secret garden theme with lots of green foliage and burgundies. Tell us more about your Big Day! We had a traditional Scottish wedding with amazing food, music and lots of emotion! We live in Singapore so really miss home and our friends and family. It was intimate and so special. What was the most memorable moment? Kristian’s face when he first saw me at the ceremony. Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you? Yes and they're special because of how happy we are. Please, tell us more about your overall experience at Eleganza Sposa Total professionalism throughout. As I live in Singapore and can only manage certain specific appointment times, the girls made this so easy for me! I really appreciated the super fast turnaround of my alterations over my hen weekend so I could get my fittings in during one weekend! Also the tailored jacket which set off the dress beautifully and allowed me to have different looks - I'd never have picked that! Do you have any advice for future brides visiting Eleganza Sposa? Eleganza Real Bride Janine Wearing Suzanne Neville

Eleganza Real Bride Janine's elegantly romantic wedding at Airth Castle was the perfect setting for her beautiful Suzanne Neville gown! How would you describe your Eleganza Experience? Amazing! So relaxing and had a lovely atmosphere and the decor is exactly what a wedding shop should look like. I had always seen the wedding shop and knew it was where I wanted to get my dress from. I felt very special when I was in the shop. How was your experience with your stylist? Amazing. Very helpful and nothing was a problem, I didn't feel like I couldn't say anything. My stylist listened to me and never made me feel overwhelmed or pressured. And I did not feel self conscious getting helped into dresses, as sometimes that can feel a bit awkward but I felt very comfortable. Would you like to share with us your honeymoon plans? My husband is in the Royal Navy and is a submariner, so shortly after we got married he was deployed for 4months and we are not allowed contact during this time. So I cannot wait till he is home and we can book our honeymoon to Rhodes and have some well deserved time together along with our beautiful son. Tell us all about your Suzanne Neville dress! My dress was 'Monet'. At first When I tried it on I never had that 'wow' feeling as I felt something was missing. My stylist Laura picked me a lovely belt to tie around the waist and just like that I found my dream dress! As I am only 5ft 1 the corset was sitting too low as I have a short torso, so I actually got measured for the dress to be made to fit me. The belt also got altered, I had the satin changed and it was sewn onto the dress so that it didn't have to be tied at the back which allowed the gorgeous button detail to be on show.To cut a long story short after a few lovely appointments to the shop for measurements etc. The day had come to finally try my dress on fully finished, cut to my length, belt sewn on EVERYTHING.. I was quite nervous but as soon as I put it on I honestly felt SO amazing in it, everything about it was perfect and I was ready to take it home.I also got my veil from Eleganza along with my wedding earrings which just made the dress even more perfect. The walk to the car was funny as it was SO heavy and what was a short walk going into the shop was a very long walk back to the car! :-) What was your inspiration for your wedding?  My inspiration was simple romantic elegance with white bows and foliage flowers etc. I didn't want it to be too much as I feel you can lose the feel if there is too much going on. Tell us more about your Big Day! From start to finish it was so relaxed. No drama, no worry, nothing! And that is exactly what we wanted. A day of fun, love and laughter. I only wish it went slower as I felt we blinked and it was over! But you know what they say time flies when you are having fun and that is exactly what we had and more. What was the most memorable moment? Walking down the aisle and seeing Sean's face. Please, tell us more about your overall experience at Eleganza Sposa Everything was perfect. The lovely candles, the decor, the staff and the cheeky glass of prosecco! Nothing was a problem for them which helped put me at ease. I never had any moments where I had to ask for extra help but I know if I did they would have said yes and helped me 100%. Eleganza Real Bride Julia Wearing Suzanne Neville

Eleganza Real Bride Julia gives us some insight into her Eleganza Experience and tells us all about her wild and rustic wedding. How would you describe your first experience at Eleganza? My experience with Laura was amazing from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and I was given plenty time to narrow down my selection and re-try some dresses I loved the most. I felt so at ease and in very safe and caring hands. What a wonderful experience with my mum that I will cherish for life. How was your experience with your stylist? My experiences with both Laura and then Lisa were fantastic. The girls listened to my likes and dislikes and made excellences selections based on my tastes. This level of personalised service really helped my find my perfect gown. My overall experience was amazing. I couldn’t fault it. Would you like to share your proposal story with us? My husband proposed on a beautiful beach  called The Strand, on the island of Islay (where we met 7 years ago). The proposal was written in the sand with boxes saying ‘Aye or Naw’. He had taken me to the same beach for a surprise Valentine’s Day walk with champagne 6 and a half years ago. Tell us all about your Suzanne Neville dress! I chose the Coco gown from the 2018 collection, and modified to a strapless style. I loved the structuring and the classic button up style at the back. I’ve never felt so beautiful in my life. So many guest have comment on how stunning it was. What was your inspiration for the wedding? Our main inspiration for the wedding was to have a wild and rustic island wedding feel where everyone is well fed and watered, and with a great Ceilidh Band to get everyone up and dancing all night. Tell us more about your big day! We were treated to the worst rain of the Summer so far with torrential thunder and lightning storms throughout our meal. In the evening the marquee was so flooded that the local fire brigade were called to remove the flood water. If anything this all added to the electric feel of the day and will always be a memorable day for our family and friends. What was the most memorable moment? Walking out of the church with my new husband and our wee cavapoo, Ruby, who was our ring bearer. Do you have a favourite photo from your wedding day? Our classic confetti shot out side of the Church. It is so colourful and joyful I can’t help but smile every time I see it. What advice would you give to future brides visiting Eleganza Sposa? My best advice is simply to enjoy every minute of your day and night. It goes by in a blink. There will always be little things that don’t go exactly to plan - take them in your stride and remember the only thing that matters is that you've married the person you love. We didn't propose as such; we just kind of said "Let's get married" and if you listen to the song of the same title by The Proclaimers then you'll know why. Tell us all about your Suzanne Neville dress! My dress was called "The Phoenix".  I asked for effortless elegance and that's what I got.  Everyone on the day said I looked like an old Hollywood starlet.  I wanted a button up back and for it to be sheer.  The dress fit like a glove; the seamstress and her team did an amazing job! Eleganza Real Bride Jesse talks us through her Eleganza Experience and wedding day! How would you describe your first appointment? Superb I found my dress!! Laura was fantastic, made me feel really welcome and discussed my options with me. How was your experience with your stylist? Laura was fantastic she had previously looked at my Love List and knew the style I was looking for. She brought out some stunning options but I knew as soon as I tried the 'Mona' on it was for me. Tell us all about your Riki Dalal dress! It's a fitted, detailed corset to my waist with lace design and sheer panelling on the back. The bottom skirt is soft Italian lace with intricate detailing around the edges. The dress has a blush, nude overlay which was different to the traditional ivory and white dress and something I love! Did you have a theme or specific colour palette? My theme was vintage, blush and white with a few bicycles thrown in for good measure! Tell us more about your wedding day! It was amazing from start to end. Louise Hughes from the bridal boutique did me and my sister's hair for the day. We all did our own make-up and my sister Ruth did mine! We had a vintage VW van that was super cute and picked us up from the venue! The service was lovely at Our Lady's and was so special. We then moved onto Ingliston where Shauna kept everything in check. She was phenomenal!! The food was superb and everyone is still talking about the sticky toffee pudding! We then had the band Daytura who ensured the dance floor was never empty. The ceilidh was an absolute scream for our English guests- never laughed so much. Kevin, our photographer was also brilliant. I really enjoyed the wee hours we had taking photos in-between the meal and the evening guests. It meant I got to spend some time with my husband and catch up. What was the most memorable moment? There were so many!! Climbing the fence to where it all began at Jason's proposal, the vows, dancing with my mum arghhh brilliant day! How did Jason propose? Eleganza Real Bride Louise wearing Martina Liana

Eleganza Real Bride Louise looks beautiful in her Martina Liana Gown! She tells us more about her wedding day below. How would you describe your first appointment at Eleganza? The first appointment was fab, the shop is so grand and luxurious it made the experience memorable.  I loved eleganza, the thing I loved most was the shop and how luxurious it feels when you are in it! The service was great And of course the dress selection is truly out of this world! How was your experience with the stylist?  My stylist was great! I model at a lot of the wedding shows so I had worn hundreds of dresses before. I had an idea of what I wanted and didn’t want. We picked dresses and just eliminated them until I finally tried on the dress I said yes to. Tell us all about the dress!   My Martina Liana dress was all lace, with sheer sleeves and lace down the centre of the arms, the train was long with a low back. On the front the lace was placed over my shoulders and cane down slightly at the chest area. For myself it was very hard making a decision on a dress as I had worn so many for work. However, when I had my dress and veil on  it was like nothing I had worn before which I loved! I can’t say I knew as soon as I had the dress on even though I did know I loved the dress, making the decision was hard, but after a quick phone call to my fiancé to give me the reassurance I purchased the dress that day! Did you have a theme or specific colour palette for your wedding? I wanted everything very soft colours peach, blush, ivory, golds. I then got my florist to add some brighter tones in the bouquets to stand out! The venue was all neutral tones soft and romantic. Tell us more about your Big Day! I had four bridesmaids, a flower girl and page boy! I stayed calm the full morning, I took some time out and went upstairs to do my makeup before going down and joining everyone else! The day goes by in a flash... all the suppliers really do help make your day and they did such an amazing job working around everyone and the chaos that goes on in the getting ready stage! I wish I could go back and do it all over again and I think most of the guests wish they could as well!   What was the most memorable moment? No one had seen my dress apart from my mum, so the dress revealing was definitely one to remember! Also seeing Chris looking all handsome at the bottom of the alter too! How did Chris propose? Chris proposed to me in New York! We were at dinner in a restaurant called 'The View' which is up in the sky line and the restaurant rotates so you can see the most amazing views of NYC! After dinner he had the waiter bring the ring over and he got down on one knee! It was special! What are your plans for your honeymoon? For our honeymoon we are off to Dubai and the Maldives! Staying at the Ja with an ocean view room in Dubai and then onto the Kuramathi in the Maldives with an amazing beach villa and then a water villa for the last few nights! It’s well earned after planning an amazing wedding day which is not easy!   Photographer: Kksnaps Florist: Betty Blue Bell Venue 1: St Mirin's Cathedral Paisley Venue 2: Bothwell Bridge Hotel Makeup: Bride ( I did my own) Bridemaids:  Anna mcIlmun Shoes: ASOS bridal Cake: Special Days Cakes Caterer: Bothwell Bridge Hotel  Music: Dj ( 5 Star Events) Videographer: Big Day Movies
