Read more about Samantha's fairytale wedding gown experience… How would you describe your Eleganza Experience? Finding my dream dress at Eleganza was a dream come true! I had walked past the stunning bay window of the boutique so many times and had hoped that one day I would find myself in there trying on the dresses from the beautiful window displays. From the moment I stepped into the shop I couldn’t believe how special I felt. The staff were so kind and welcoming to me and my party (including my wonderful Dad), the shop was like something from a fairytale and the dresses were all just incredible. What was your favourite part of planning your wedding? My favourite part of wedding planning was definitely dress shopping. I was lucky enough to fall in love with my dream dress in the first shop! My Eleganza experience was everything I had hoped for and more. Trying on the first dress was, for me, the moment it all started to feel real and the excitement truly hit me! Tell us all about your Savin London dress! I did the one thing that you really shouldn’t do when looking for dress inspiration... I fell in love with a dress online and pinned all of my hopes and dreams on that one dress! I arrived wanting to try on that dress and nothing else. The lovely stylist at Eleganza suggested that I try on a few other dresses first as it was my first ever time dress shopping and I am so pleased that I did – it was a lot of fun! I tried on a fitted and very plain dress, a big princess dress, a beautiful lace dress and then THE dress. I put it on and instantly knew it was the dress for me. I loved everything about it. I loved that it was floaty and comfortable, it had so much intricate detail that made you want to stare at every section of it until you had seen it all. It felt unique and a little bit unusual and I never wanted to take it off! Paired with the most beautiful veil, I felt amazing. What was your inspiration for your wedding?  We wanted a relaxed wedding venue to reflect us as a couple, we visited Guardswell Farm before it had opened when it was still a building site with no windows or doors but even still we just fell in love with the whole feel of the place. The relaxed vibe and beautiful views were the inspiration for our planning. Tell us more about your Big Day! We called upon a number of our wonderful friends and family and their many, many talents to fill our special day with amazing creations. From performing in the ceremony, designing the bridal bouquets and button holes, a hanging wall piece for the ceremony room, our wedding cake, favours, table decorations and my hair and make up. All of this made the day feel so incredibly special along with the simply wonderful team at Guardswell Farm, the most delicious wedding breakfast from Truffle Events, amazing music from Drams Ceilidh Band and beautiful photos from Rachel McNeil Photography. We also loved our secret cheese room, revealed at 9.30pm and filled with Mellis Cheese and delicious accompaniments! What was the most memorable moment? This is a tricky question… For me the most memorable moment was giving my ‘Bride’s speech’ I umm-ed and ahh-ed about doing a speech for so long and I am so pleased that I did. It was such a special moment to thank all of the people closest to us for being so amazing! Euros’ most memorable moment was seeing me and my dress as I walked down the aisle. Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you? My favourite photo is of Euros and me in the forest once it had gone dark. It was so nice to disappear from the fun, laughter and dancing for a few minutes once the stress of the day was over and share in that moment together.
