The Bridal Buyer Awards 2018
Having spent the weekend in Harrogate catching up with friends old and new from the bridal industry, Eleganza’s final appointment at this year’s Bridal Show was The Bridal Buyer Awards. As finalists in the ‘Scottish Retailer of the Year’ category, it was with excitement and slight apprehension that myself and our operations manager attended the ceremony on the Monday night. The whole weekend in Harrogate is a fantastic opportunity to see what other experts are doing to excel in their chosen field as well as hear predictions, plans and expected trends for the coming year. With representatives from every facet of bridal, it really is an exquisite exhibition and showcase of talent. The Bridal Buyer Awards are dedicated to celebrating excellence within the industry, so unsurprisingly it was an honour to be a finalist in the retailer of the year category. At Eleganza Sposa, we take such pride in providing the best retail experience we possibly can for our brides. Since founding Eleganza Sposa over twenty five years ago, I have continued to develop and improve the experience for my brides to ensure that they receive the utmost service and highest quality of garment- sourcing the finest materials and making the experience as seamless, enjoyable and memorable as possible for our brides The bridal industry is forever developing and changing, so I have always found it important to adapt and keep ahead of trends. Technology has also had a significant influence on the way we operate at Eleganza Sposa. With additions such as our ‘Love List’ put in place to further enhance the Eleganza Experience, ensuring we understand what each bride desires even before they attend their appointment, thus ensuring we can fulfil their needs. Being recognised in a category alongside Scottish retailers who we hold in such high regard was particularly flattering, magnifying the honour we felt receiving such an accolade which recognises our efforts in providing the best bridal retail experience for our brides. With the Bridal Buyer Awards’ reputation for being ‘the Oscars of Bridal’ I feel it would only be appropriate to acknowledge all those involved in making Eleganza Sposa the bridal boutique that it is today! Our stylists whose hard work and attention to detail ensures that every one of our Eleganza Brides has a unique and special experience. Our seamstresses who work tirelessly to create and modify spectacular garments tailored specifically to each of our brides. Their dedication to their craft is admirable and evident in the gowns they create. It is rare that we get the chance to meet with our fellow Luxe Bridal Group members, so we gladly took this opportunity to do so and were equally delighted when fellow member Ellie Sanderson’s beautiful website was rightfully recognised as ‘Retailer Website of the Year’. It is a pleasure to be a member of the Luxe group, and being associated with fellow luxury retailers whom I have such admiration for. It’s been a particularly eventful summer at Eleganza Sposa with the launch of our new collection, so this recognition from a bridal body we hold in such high esteem, really was appreciated. As proud stockists of Essense of Australia, we were thrilled to see one of their designs rightfully acknowledged – winning ‘Dress of the Year’ for one of their many beautifully contemporary designs. As a winner at this year’s Bridal Buyer Awards, Eleganza Sposa are definitely in good company!
