In the run up to our Caroline Castigliano designer day on Sunday 23rd November, we felt it apt to write a post featuring some of the dresses from Caroline's stunning new English Heritage Collection and a little bit of background of the philosophy behind the exquisite designers work.
This year, Caroline Castigliano celebrates 21 years at the forefront of British bridal couture, an extremely special landmark in the designers career.
Caroline had her first design success when she was in her late teens living in Florida. She started her first business designing active sportswear for women which was then sold in prestigious shopping outlets such as Macys, Bloomingdales and Saks.In 1991, she returned to the UK and set up her first bridal boutique in Surrey. Since then, Caroline Castigliano's business has gone from strength to strength and her design work is now internationally renowned for its iconic silhouettes and detailed corsetry. Today, she has 6 boutiques across the UK as well as selected stockists in the UK, Ireland and internationally.
All of Caroline's bespoke designs are meticulously hand-crafted in the UK using only the finest fabrics and materials. This is because Caroline believes that the wedding gown is the most important garment a woman will ever wear and so her brand vision is that when the bride walks down the aisle in one of her gowns, she feels more beautiful in that moment in time than she ever has in her entire life.
Her new collection is breathtakingly beautiful, featuring classically inspired, contemporary designs that are sculpted to precision and crafted to perfection. The collection hosts a wide range of silhouettes from 50s styles, to understated gowns, to strong statement pieces, ensuring that there is something to express the style and personality of every bride.
