How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

My Eleganza experience was wonderful from start to finish! All the girls who took care of us in the store were great. They were so knowledgable and helpful. Displayed great customer service skills. I would recommend them no doubt about it. I was very happy with the full service we received from Eleganza & all its staff. I had to change my trial dates due to my hen being on one of the dates I had originally booked in. The girls made this an easy fix and I just missed this appointment and only needed two anyways.

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment or your favourite part of planning your wedding?

Myself and Gary got engaged in Berlin in March 2017 after he proposed in our hotel room. We spent roughly 16 months planning our wedding, we always knew we wanted the Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow to be our venue so once that was secured everything went from there! We really did have the most perfect day! Sun was shining and everyone looked stunning. The venue was decorated beautifully by Sarah McLeary our wedding planner at the Fruitmarket with the help of all our amazing suppliers. It was the best day of our life’s. We honeymooned in Santorini, leaving 4 days after the wedding. We spent 10 days travelling around the island and capturing all its beauty! It was the most perfect honeymoon we could have imagined.

Tell us all about your Suzanne Neville dress!

The ‘Picasso’ dress by a Suzanne Neville was one I was initially attracted to. It was on my love list so it was the first dress the girls in the shop brought me to try! Immediately we all fell in love with it! I tried on others but still kept going back to my original choice! We had a think and then went back and bought it the same day! All my trials were great! The girls made me feel so at ease and the seamstress was brilliant. On wedding morning I couldn’t wait to put my dress on! Everyone loved it and said I looked stunning! I think some people expected my dress to be different but when everyone seen it I think they all agreed it was the perfect one for me!

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

We had previously been to a gig in the Old Fruitmarket and always said we would love to get married in there as it suited us down to a tee. We are really into our music and gigs it was one of the first things we bonded over when we met. We kept music as our theme and had tables names after some of our favourite bands. We wanted to keep quite a rustic feel and the stationary was created by Florence & Bette to represent that rustic feel. Lauren Dobbin at Fleuressence created all our flower arrangements, she was brilliant to work with and brought my vision to life! The bridesmaid dresses were bought online from VictoriaLou Bridal. We went with multiway dresses to suit my three bridesmaids so that they could keep their individual style. The colour was ‘Pebble’, a mauve, taupe tone.

Tell us more about your Big Day!

Some people told us, it will go by so fast and you won’t get a chance to enjoy it or spend it with each other, however this couldn’t have been further from the truth! We spent all day together and had the best day ever. The weather held out for us so we managed to get great photos around Merchant City with Ross, who made everything feel so natural especially since we hate posing for photos! Everything was exactly how we pictured it to be!

What was the most memorable moment?

Waiting to walk down the aisle, standing with my bridesmaids and my dad, hearing ‘Skinny Love’ by Bon Iver start playing knowing it was time to walk down the aisle to marry my best friend!

Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?

We have lots of favourite images! We are waiting on Ross editing them and sending them to us! He sent us 5/6 so far and they are beautiful! Especially one of us walking back down the aisle in black and white and Gary is looking at me while I’m smiling at all our loved ones.

Do you have any advice for future brides visiting Eleganza Sposa?

I would advise all future Eleganza brides to appreciate every single moment of it all! It goes by so fast and the next minute it all feels like a dream! The experience I had in Eleganza was second to none, the beautiful girls helped me find the most perfect dress and veil and I can’t thank them enough!
