Eleganza Real Bride: Ruth

Eleganza Real Bride: Ruth

How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

I was nervous to go wedding dress shopping because I had no clue! When I arrived in store, I was greeted by Chloe who  put me at ease straight away. The shop is so beautiful and the music and decor make it feel special. Chloe was so professional yet personal and took time getting to know myself, my mum, mother in law to be and MOH.
Chloe was excellent at understanding my style and she brought out a range of dresses to fit this.
The fourth dress I tried on was the one, and immediately I fell in love with the dress. Everyone was in tears and it was such a memorable moment.
Chloe then brought out accessories and veil to complement the dress. I ended up purchasing my belt and veil too.
I would highly recommend Eleganza to anyone who is nervous or worried about their wedding dress, it’s a special experience that you won’t forget.

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?

The proposal was in Central Park, New York City. I had booked this holiday to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday however it was postponed due to Covid.
We were walking through Central Park and my husband found the perfect spot under a Cherry Blossom tree and got down on one knee. It was the easiest yes of my life!
Cherry Blossom trees are sentimental to me as they remind me of my gran who passed during Covid, so it was such a special moment in the most stunning of settings!

Tell us more about your Suzanne Neville gown!

I loved that the dress was timeless in its shape but the detail in the modern halter neck bodice really sold this dress to me. I felt it was different to any dress I had seen before and it felt it was flattering across the shoulders. I also loved the buttons down the back.
I loved wearing this dress, it was really structured so it held me in well but also allowed me to dance all night, which was really important to me!
My friends and family loved my dress!

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

My inspiration was rustic,  modern, barn theme. My bridesmaids were in a subtle lilac/pink dress so I mixed this in with the colour theme as well as golds and eucalyptus and gypsophila foliage.

Tell us more about your Big Day!

We wanted to make our day as fun as possible for our guest. We hired lots of props for our drinks reception from spin the wheel at the bar, two hole putting course, corn hole, electric buzz wire, and a magician. Instead of canopies, we had a gorgeous grazing board by the Charming Olive, which our guests raved about. We also had a wedding news paper, which was a fun way to share our love story as well as introducing our wedding party and sharing where guests have travelled from. Instead of favours, we created our own scratch cards which had a total of 40 prizes, from bottles of Prosecco, Next vouchers, Greggs vouchers, Starbucks vouchers and brownie boxes; we loved the watching our guests scratching them and winning prizes!

What was the most memorable moment?

When we were introduced into the dinner with everyone spinning their napkins over their head and Sean Kingston ‘fire burning’ blaring out the speakers. It was such an atmosphere!
