Eleganza Real Bride: Rebekah

How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

Magical from beginning to end! The whole experience is so special and the staff really put you at the centre of it all and make sure you feel amazing.

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?

The proposal was so lovely. We are high school sweethearts and have been together since we were 16 years old! My now husband was trying to get me to go for a dog walk and I couldn’t understand why he had dressed up slightly…I thought it was just a dog walk as we normally did during covid so didn’t follow his lead (oops) I also refused to walk up the snow covered hill he wanted me to climb at first but did finally give in after he refused to go in any other direction. When we got to the top I looked out at the view and said ‘this would be a lovely place to propose!’ I then turned round and he was down on one knee with the ring out and our little dog was running around next to us! It was the easiest yes and i definitely ugly cried!

We are currently on our honeymoon, we left on the Sunday after getting married on the Friday! A bit stressful but well worth it to be lying in the Mexican sunshine!

Tell us more about your Suzanne Neville gown!

I had initially gone to another shop and tried on a dress I had seen online and thought I would love. It didn’t feel like ‘the one’ but I thought it would be better after alterations etc. I went to Eleganza to see why everyone spoke to highly of it and just went to see what dresses they had. When I explained to the girls what I wanted they immediately pulled the dress they thought would be perfect and as soon as I put it on I knew that was my dress. I felt absolutely amazing and I could just picture myself in nothing else a part from that dress. when I came out of the fitting room everyone agreed and I was beaming!

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

When I started planning I didn’t have a clue what I was doing, I just knew I wanted something that wouldn’t really date and that we wouldn’t look back on in 5/10 years and question why we did that! We stuck to modern, timeless and colours of black and white with pops of dark green. My bridesmaids wore dark green and I convinced my husband that he would look amazing in a tuxedo which he really did.

Tell us more about your Big Day!

We got married at the Corinthian Club in Glasgow on the 24th February which is actually our anniversary from when we started ‘going out’ it was technically our 12 year anniversary on our wedding day which was so special to us both. The day went without a fault, the venue was stunning, we kept decor very minimal with lots of white roses, baby’s breath, orchids, Cala lily’s and candles. My bouquet was the most stunning thing I have ever seen and better than I ever could have imagined. We had a beautiful deconstructed arch at the end of the aisle and the candles created such a beautiful atmosphere.

What was the most memorable moment?

We had our gorgeous little dog as our ring bearer, watching him coming down the aisle towards us in his little kilt (yes we put our dog in a kilt!) with his little tail wagging was so memorable and so special!

Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?

We haven’t had a lot of our photos back yet but our photographer did a lot of black and white editorial pictures. One of my favourites is my husband and I in the middle of the road with him holding my flowers and us kissing. My other favourite is one of me in the lobby of the hotel before the wedding, I’m sitting holding my flowers and I can just remember thinking that I couldn’t believe it was finally our day!
