My experience at Eleganza Sposa was out of this world! The shop itself is absolutely stunning and really makes you feel special but it is the welcome, attitude and knowledge of the fabulous team that really sets Eleganza apart.
I was pretty nervous about wedding dress shopping and have never really been much of a girly girl, preferring to be out in the mud in a pair of wellies than in dresses. As soon as I arrived at my first appointment - and from there on out - the girls were so friendly and really put me at ease, making me feel as beautiful as every bride should.
The whole Eleganza experience was beyond my expectations!

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment?

I knew that Phil was going to propose as he kept dropping the most unsubtle hints, like asking what kind of ring I would like when we were in town. I had no idea at all though as to when he would ask and I was beginning to think I had it all wrong. But when we were on holiday in Germany visiting some close friends he surprised me. We had taken a day trip out of Munich to Neuschwanstein Castle which is still one of the most awe-inspiring places I have ever been to. The combination of some sneaky planning with his best man, finding a perfect viewpoint and taking some silly pictures made me oblivious to Phil dropping to one knee beside me. It was perfect!

Tell us all about your Suzanne Neville dress!

I had tried on a fair few dresses before this one but as soon as I tried it on it felt right. It fitted perfectly and the only adjustment that needed to be made was the length. It felt like it was meant to be.
My dress was called "Primrose" and I absolutely loved it! The simple, understated details from the cowl neck and lace shoulders to the satin that pinched in my waist made me feel incredible. The picture on my husbands face when he saw me in it, even more so!
Finding a dress that complemented my veil was also very important to me and Primrose did just that. My veil is a family heirloom and having just recently lost my Gran it was like having her there with me. The dress and the veil set me up for the most perfect day.

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme?

When a close family friend offered to do my flowers I gave her free rein, just asking for them to be full of bright colours and not too perfect. This idea ran throughout the rest of the wedding; we didn't have a specific theme as such, just a relaxed and fun day filled with lots of family, friends and laughter. Thankfully the sun shone so everyone could enjoy the outdoors and all the games we put on.

Tell us more about your Big Day!

What started of as a dreich, miserable day turned int a beautiful sunny afternoon that fit with our wedding perfectly. We had some great fun, playing games, ceilidhing and celebrating with our incredible family and friends who were the core and best part of our day.

What was the most memorable moment?

Our day was full of memorable moments from Phil needing to have a 3 hour nap at the start of the reception because he had a touch of food poisoning from the meal he had eaten the previous night to riding home from the church on my horse Becks and being surprised by some German family traditions later in the evening which were hilarious!

Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?

I love all of our photos but this one of Phil and I coming back from the church with me on my horse Becks and all of our family and friends walking down the road behind us is definitely one of my favourites. There is so much happiness with that "just got married" feeling and it was a dream come true moment for me. I've had Becks since 2007 and since then I've always dreamt of riding at some point on my wedding day. He was an absolute gem, especially since this was the first time he'd had a side saddle on!
