OMG I was so impressed with Eleganza! I actually went on two occasions, the first one they were so unbelievably helpful (even though I must have tried on every dress in the store!!) and made me feel like the only bride in the store! Unfortunately that day I left empty handed, but several months later, I was having a total dress dilemma and the staff at Eleganza were absolutely amazing- they were able to book me in for an appointment the very same day and managed to find my dream dress for me!!
The team were so unbelievably helpful, and I really felt like they went out of their way to ensure that I got my dream dress, as well as making me feel like the only bride in the store. I also loved the "love list" idea- such a great way to let brides see the dresses beforehand and let the consultant know their ideas!
Tom proposed to me at the top of The Eiffel Tower! It was so romantic, and he proposed overlooking Paris at night- so beautiful! I loved every part of planning our wedding (although the dress was definitely top of the list!).
During my initial visit to Eleganza, I tried on multiple dresses and quickly realised that I was a Martina Liana bride but didn't quite find the one! After several months (and settling for a dress I wasn't too sure about), I returned to Eleganza after seeing the 'Juno' dress in The Scottish Wedding Directory having found out Eleganza had it in stock when I contacted them. They managed to make an appointment for me that day to try it on and I fell in love!! I couldn't stop thinking about my dress after purchasing it, and I felt like a beautiful bride wearing it. My husband adored it and was delighted. Everyone at our wedding commented that it was fabulous!
I'm Scottish (with English relatives) and Tom is English, so we were keen to have a very Scottish wedding as the majority of our guests were coming from England or abroad. We used this as the basis for our flowers and wedding style, as well as including autumnal aspects into the flowers and decor.
We got married at Achnagairn Estate in Inverness. We had the place for the weekend, which was exactly what we were looking for, as we wanted a "relaxed house party" feel for the weekend. We had a get together with everyone on the Friday to allow everyone to mingle and meet new people, and then everyone was so much more relaxed on the big day! We had a Humanist wedding, which was so personal to us, and we were very lucky with the weather, with just a bit of drizzle- perfect for a truly Scottish wedding!!! We were lucky to have a venue where a lot of our guests could stay over, which meant everyone was so relaxed and able to come and go as they pleased.
Gosh all of it was so memorable, but probably Tom and I having 5 minutes to ourselves with prosecco after the ceremony to just take in the fact that we were married!!
Definitely the photo of us leaving the ballroom after the ceremony- we both look so happy and thrilled!!
Did you and your husband honeymoon following your wedding?
We went to Singapore and Malaysia for our honeymoon, which was wonderful and so relaxing after our wedding.
Definitely make your love list in advance as its great to see the variety of dresses in store as well as give the consultants an idea of what you are after, but they are all fab!! Everything was fantastic!!
