How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?
The Eleganza experience was wonderful. I walked in the door and immediately felt so special. My name and date of my wedding was hanging on a tree for me arriving which was so unique. Our lovely bridal consultant really took the time to listen to what I wanted even though I wasn’t quite sure myself. The first dress I put on was perfect. I was really nervous about making the final decision on the dress but I didn’t feel under any pressure from the staff. I was encouraged to take my time and try other dresses. This made the whole process feel super comfortable.
Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?
Mark proposed to me abroad at our favourite restaurant overlooking the sea. A waitress captured it all on video which was so lovely. After ten years together, it definitely came as a shock. We decided to get married within the year and I couldn’t wait to start planning.

Tell us more about your Suzanne Neville gown?
My Suzanne Neville gown was completely elegant, classic and so understated. I wanted something that in years to come I could look back on and still like it. The corset inside the dress really helped me feel secure and fitted in the dress and although I didn’t envisage a train, I think the dress needed that bit of drama.
What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?
For our wedding we wanted a really elegant and intimate day. We decided on only 16 guests who were our closest friends and family. The decision was fantastic and meant we could spend the day with the people we love, without the pressure of entertaining endless guests. Our colour scheme was ivory and black. I loved how all the bridesmaids and my mum looked very chic and classic. The small details of the Jo Malone favours, the gypsophila flowers colours and the groomsmen all in black really added to the feel of elegance.

Tell us more about your Big Day!
Our ceremony took place late afternoon at Carlowrie Castle giving us the morning to enjoy some champagne and leisurely get ready. The groomsmen all arrived and spent the afternoon in the piano room. The focus of the day was around our ceremony and we had lots of amazing touches throughout like, a gesture to our mums, personalised vows, readings from our friends, literally tying the knot and quaich drinking to name a few.
Ourselves and all our guests were staying at Carlowrie Castle and we had the castle hired out for ourselves which meant our guests could relax. Our dinner was also in the piano room and was full of laughs, tears and joy.
What was the most memorable moment?
The most memorable moment of the day was waiting to go down the aisle. Standing outside of the ceremony room and I was so nervous. A lovely member of the Carlowrie events team said, if you think you are going to cry just say “sausages and tomatoes in your head” because you can’t cry over sausages and tomatoes. As myself and my dad started to walk down the aisle towards mark, we were half way there and my dad said “sausages” and I said “tomatoes” and we burst out laughing.
Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?
It is hard to pick just one photo from the wedding but I think this one. We both don’t feel very comfortable around a camera, but neither of us even remember this being taken. The sun was starting to set and we were so excited to get inside to see our friends and family, we just felt so happy
