Eleganza Real Bride: Heather

Eleganza Real Bride: Heather

How would you describe your Eleganza Experience?

Firstly, when you walk up to the outside of the store there is definitely a wow factor with the beautiful florals. I was greeted by a lovely member of staff who sat me down before meeting my sales consultant. Before attending I was really nervous, but the nerves soon went with the complimentary champagne, beautiful decor and the most stunning dresses. The room where you are trying dresses on has such a nice buzz as you see other brides to be trying on their dresses.

Would you like to share with us your proposal moment, favourite part of planning your wedding or what you have planned for your honeymoon?

My husband proposed to me at Cameron House on Loch Lomond - it was perfect!

My favourite part of wedding planning was my meetings with @jordanaevents I loved catching up with her and planning all the details of my decor. She is phenomenal! I also loved my weekly dress fittings with @arestorickdesigns I lost 1.5 stone on the run up to the wedding so I had quite a lot of alterations required, I loved seeing the dress come to life and fit my body perfectly. I fell more and more in love with each fitting.

We went to Barcelona as a mini-moon after our wedding which was amazing, would highly recommend just taking a few days after the big day to decompress - as you will be shattered! For our main honeymoon we did Singapore and Bali would totally recommend as a honeymoon as it has everything, beach, city, paradise and fun!

Tell us more about your Eleganza Iconica gown!

When I started looking at dresses I was really drawn to the square neck, I wanted my wedding dress to look classic with a bit of glam. I came to Eleganza with the dress in mind as I had seen it on the instagram page and then when I saw it was backless with the most amazing detail I knew it was the one! The way it sparkled in the light I knew it was my dress! I tried on about 7 other dresses but I kept going back to the first one and I’m glad I did!

What was your inspiration for your wedding? Did you follow a specific theme or colour palette?

I wanted classic and timeless, my flowers were white and green with a couple of cheeky thistles in there! The theme was gold/champagne with some pearl detailing in my cake, hair and jewellery, my bridesmaids were in the most beautiful champagne gold dresses that glistened in the sunshine - they looked stunning.

Tell us more about your Big Day!

It was perfect! I can’t even begin to explain how happy I felt all day, I was just beaming and the photos by @kkotkiewiczphotography capture it perfectly. It goes so quickly and you just feel on cloud nine all day, I wish I could do it all over again. I watch our wedding video by @cherrytreefilms daily just to relive it!

I had the most phenomenal suppliers and I can’t thank them enough for ensuring we had the most incredible wedding day.

What was the most memorable moment?

Our ceremony, my dad had been poorly and we weren’t sure if he’d be able to walk me down the aisle but he did! We also had our own vows which would highly recommend - it was really emotional!

Do you have a favourite picture from your wedding day? Why is this image so special to you?

My favourite picture from our wedding day is probably the one where I’m smiling with the veil over us! We’d just finished our meal and were going into the evening reception and I just remember feeling soo happy. I wish I could bottle up that happiness and keep it forever.
