Last Thursday we hosted an event in our Glasgow Flagship Store to launch our stunning new occasion wear collection,"Eleganza Collezioni" to raise funds for Ayesha's bone marrow appeal (see previous blog post). We transformed our flagship store into a mystical forest complete with plants, trees, branches and an abundance of fairy lights to create a mood that would take our guests on a journey through our whimsical, winter inspired collection. Upon arrival our guests were greeted with mouth wateringly delicious cocktails and canapes served up by our bar tenders for the night, "Perfect Parties" before taking retiring to our main lounge for our catwalk show. Prior to the show, Anna introduced our guest of honour for the evening, the inspirational Noreen Siddiqui, Ayesha's mum, who looked and felt like a true princess in an Eleganza floor length gown.Photo by Daniela Flores Photography
She very bravely told the heartbreaking story to our guests of a mother who is fighting for her child's life. Anna, Eleganza's MD said, "I was touched by Noreen's courage. As a mother I appreciate the emotional turmoil that she must deal with on a daily basis, she manages to challenge all of that into positive energy not only for Ayesha but for other families in a similar situation. I thought the launch of our evening wear label Eleganza Collezioni would be the perfect opportunity to introduce the glamorous Noreen to a lovely audience and make her feel pampered and beautiful for a night. It was a fabulous evening and I plan to continue supporting Anthony Nolan and Ayesha's Appeal in the future. " It was then onto our catwalk show which featured 14 totally bespoke pieces, designed by our in-house designer, the extremely talented Helen Tatner and modelled by our 5 stunning beauties, Sophie Loudon, Sophie Bird, Emma, Jemmia and Mhairi who worked wild, dishevelled make-up and hair as they glided across the catwalk to moody beats.Photo by Daniela Flores Photography

The show was followed by a raffle with all donations going to the Antony Nolan Organisation. Our guests won some fabulous prizes donated by generous companies including; Couture Clean, Bothwell Bridge Hotel, Avon Bridge Hotel, Bar Milano, 200 St Vincent Street, William Chambers Millinery, Drinking Classes, Campbell & Campbell Hamilton, Green Room Hairdressers and Hamilton Park Racecourse. It was a fabulous evening enjoyed by all, and we are so pleased to announce that we managed to raise an amazing £791 for a cause close to all of us at Eleganza Sposa's hearts. We hope and pray that our contribution has helped raise awareness for Ayesha's story and that she will find a donor soon. We will continue to support Ayesha and her family's story in the future. Watch this space. x
